Benidorm Beach ยท Last updated 20 July 2026
Benidorm Beach is a free app that tells you which of Benidorm's two main beaches โ Levante and Poniente โ has better conditions right now. This policy explains what the app does and does not do with your information. In short: it collects almost nothing.
Information we do not collect
We do not ask you to create an account. We do not collect your name, email address, phone number, or any other information that identifies you. We do not track your location. We do not use advertising or third-party analytics trackers.
Information stored on your device
The app stores a small amount of data locally on your device only:
- Your settings โ chosen units (temperature and wind) and language.
- A short-lived cache of recent beach conditions, so the app can show the last known data if you briefly lose connection.
This data never leaves your device and is removed when you uninstall the app.
Weather data
To show current conditions, the app requests weather and marine forecasts from our server, which in turn fetches them from Open-Meteo, a free open-source weather service. These requests are for two fixed beach locations in Benidorm and do not include any information about you or your location. Standard server logs (such as the IP address of the request) may be retained by our hosting provider, Vercel, for a limited period for security and operational purposes.
Children's privacy
The app is suitable for all ages and does not knowingly collect any personal information from anyone, including children.
Changes to this policy
If we change this policy, we will update the date at the top of this page. Material changes will be reflected in an app update.
